Cambodia in Its International Context – Sunday, 19.9.2010

During the past week The Mirror had references to Cambodian tourism, and also relating to dark periods of the recent past histories of Germany and of Cambodia – in both cases about international relations. During the next two or three weeks, while I will be still in Germany, I will probably more often share some reflections relating to Cambodia in an international context. This is always an important aspect, but I may have more observations to share than when I am in Phnom Penh.

To receive comments is always appreciated. A comment was now received from New Zealand to our “Dealing with the Past” from Friday, 17.9.2010; it was a big encouragement. The Comment links back to resources for teachers: “TeacherEducation – Our aim is to provide quality courses for teachers and teacher aides at an affordable cost to schools and centers, thus making your professional development our business.” It says: “I’ve been hunting for something like this most of the day today. I really wish that people would write more about this.” We really wish the same.

Individual Satellite Dish

The Internet allows really easily to build new communication links – over linguistic and cultural borders; also over national borders – but some powers do not like this kind of freedom to communicate.

Just now this message came in:
